Privacy Policy - PrimeTimer

Last updated: 2025-11-30

1. Information We Collect

PrimeTimer is designed to minimize data collection. By default, PrimeTimer does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers. Most information stays entirely on your device.

The app may store the following local-only data on your device:

We do not collect your name, email address, advertising ID, or any other personal identifiers. We do not use analytics SDKs or tracking libraries inside the app.

2. Shared Routines (Short Links)

PrimeTimer includes an optional feature that lets you share a routine using a short link (for example: https://primetimer.app/r/ABC123). When you use this feature, the app sends the routine configuration (round times, names, counts, etc.) to our backend so it can be stored and retrieved via that short link.

The data stored for a shared routine:

We do not intentionally attach this routine data to your identity. We do not require you to create an account to use this feature, and we do not add your name, email, or other personal identifiers to the stored routine. Anyone who has the share link can open or import the routine. Do not include sensitive or personal information inside routine names or notes.

3. How We Use Data

We use data solely to operate and improve the app experience, including:

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data with third parties.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Local data (routines, settings, custom sounds) is stored on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data.

Shared routines stored on our backend are kept for a limited time (for example, several weeks or months) and may be automatically deleted after they expire or as part of regular cleanup. If a shared routine has expired or been removed, its link will no longer work.

5. Third-Party Services

PrimeTimer uses the following platform services:

The app includes no ads, no analytics SDKs, and no third-party tracking inside the mobile app.

6. Children's Privacy

PrimeTimer is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us through a routine name or note, you can delete the routine or uninstall the app from the device.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available at this page. Your continued use of the app after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
