Privacy Policy - PrimeTimer

1. Information We Collect

PrimeTimer is designed to minimize data collection. PrimeTimer does not require you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, contacts, photos, precise location, or payment card details. Most routine and settings data stays on your device.

The app may store the following local-only data on your device:

Custom sound files are stored locally on your device and are not uploaded to our servers unless you explicitly share or export them through another app outside PrimeTimer.

PrimeTimer uses Firebase Analytics to collect app usage and interaction data, such as routine creation, timer starts and completions, Pro screen views, upgrade button taps, checkout starts, custom sound additions, and share routine taps. Firebase Analytics may also collect technical identifiers and app activity data, such as an app instance ID, app lifecycle events, session information, coarse location derived from masked IP address, and in-app purchase or subscription events.

2. Shared Routines (Short Links)

PrimeTimer includes an optional feature that lets you share a routine using a short link (for example: https://primetimer.app/r/ABC123). When you use this feature, the app sends the routine configuration (round times, names, notes, counts, laps, prep time, and related settings) to our backend so it can be stored and retrieved via that short link.

The data stored for a shared routine:

We do not intentionally attach this routine data to your identity. We do not require you to create an account to use this feature, and we do not add your name, email, or other personal identifiers to the stored routine. Anyone who has the share link can open or import the routine. Do not include sensitive or personal information inside routine names or notes.

3. How We Use Data

We use data solely to operate and improve the app experience, including:

We do not sell, rent, or trade any data with third parties.

4. Data Storage & Retention

Local data (routines, settings, custom sounds) is stored on your device and is removed when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data.

Shared routines stored on our backend are kept for a limited time, currently about 24 hours, and may be automatically deleted after they expire or as part of regular cleanup. If a shared routine has expired or been removed, its link will no longer work.

5. Third-Party Services

PrimeTimer uses the following platform services:

The app includes no ads. Analytics data is used to understand and improve the app, not to sell your personal data.

6. Data Deletion

Most PrimeTimer data is stored locally on your device. You can delete local routines, settings, and custom sounds by uninstalling the app or clearing the app data from Android settings.

If you created a shared routine link and want to request deletion of that shared routine from our backend, contact us at eddieknaz@gmail.com and include the shared routine link.

Firebase Analytics data is processed by Google/Firebase. PrimeTimer does not require users to create an account, so analytics data is generally not linked to your name or email address.

7. Children's Privacy

PrimeTimer is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal data from children. If you believe a child has shared personal information with us through a routine name or note, you can delete the routine or uninstall the app from the device.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The latest version will always be available at this page. Your continued use of the app after changes are published means you accept the updated policy.
